for home or commercial "PROPERTY INSPECTORS"!

Imaginary people, children, psychics (who claim to "sense" if a house is OK), pets and even the blind can be home inspectors in Florida.  So PROTECT YOURSELF by retaining an InterNACHI CERTIFIED INSPECTOR!

Many Florida "Property Inspectors" have NO CERTIFICATION!  Some belong to other "inspection associations" that have no entrance requirements and worse...encourage their associates to go out and perform actual inspections for unsuspecting consumers as the only way to achieve full membership.  We find this unconscionable!  InterNACHI  turns down more than 60% of the inspectors who want to join InterNACHI because they can't pass the exam and turn down 90% of those left because they can't fulfill the membership requirements.

- Pass InterNACHI's  Online Inspector Examination  every year with a score of 80 or better. 
- Complete InterNACHI's online Ethics Obstacle Course.
- Take InterNACHI's online Standards of Practice Quiz.
- Have to adhere to InterNACHI's Standards of Practice.
- Have to abide by InterNACHI's Code of Ethics.
- Have to continue learning (24 hours/year) as per InterNACHI's Continuing Education Policy.
- Have to maintain a member Online Continuing Education Log as per InterNACHI's Continuing Education Policy.
- Had to  submit 4 mock inspections to InterNACHI's Report Review Committee before performing 
their first home inspection for a client.
- Have to login to NACHIs educational message board.
- Had to complete InterNACHI's comprehensive online Residential Standards of Practice course. 
- Had to complete InterNACHI's online Structural course. 
- Had to complete InterNACHI's comprehensive online Plumbing course including all the
quizzes within and pass its final exam.
- Had to complete InterNACHI's comprehensive online Electrical course  including all the
quizzes within and pass its final exam.  
- Had to complete InterNACHI's comprehensive online Safe Practices course including all the quizzes within.
- Had to complete InterNACHI's comprehensive online Roofing course including all the
quizzes within and pass its final exam.
- Had to complete InterNACHI's comprehensive online Wood Destroying Organism course including all the
quizzes within and pass its final exam. 
- Had to complete InterNACHI's online 25 Standards Every Inspector Should Know course and
pass its final exam. 
- Have to carry a membership photo I.D.
- Had to complete InterNACHI's comprehensive online Moisture Intrusion Inspection course including all the
quizzes within and pass its final exam. 
- Had to complete InterNACHI's online Vermiculite Insulation mini-course  including all the quizzes within.
- Had to complete InterNACHI's online Polybutylene Plumbing mini-course  including all the quizzes within.
- Had to complete InterNACHI's online Water Heater TPR Valve Discharge Piping mini-course including all the
quizzes within.
- Had to complete InterNACHI's online Emergency Exit mini-course including all the quizzes within.
- Have to re-take and pass InterNACHI's Online Inspector Examination again, every year.
- Had to complete InterNACHI's online Log Home course including all quizzes within and pass its final exam.
- Had to complete InterNACHI's online Green Building course including all quizzes within and pass its final exam. 
- Had to complete at least 8 hours of advanced or beyond Standard of Practice coursework.
- Had to complete InterNACHI's online Mold Inspection course including all quizzes within and pass its final exam.
- Had to complete InterNACHI's online Radon Measurement Service Provider course including all
quizzes within and pass its final exam. 
- Had to complete InterNACHI's online Commercial Inspection course including all
quizzes within and pass its final exam. 
- Had to complete InterNACHI's online Inspecting Foundation Walls and Piers course including all
quizzes and pass its final exam.  
- Have to attend chapter meetings and educational seminars.
